Characteristics of a Leader
God doesn't call the qualified but qualifies the called.
Intent and desire and passion fuel the path of spiritual growth.
The leaders (1 Timothy 3:1-13 NCV) that are gathering are kingdom minded (Matthew 6:33), mission-driven (Acts 2:24),
strategic thinking,
get-it-done individuals (Philippians 2:20).
They can rise above their specific circumstances and help others see the bigger picture of possibility (1 Corinthians 16:13).
They are strong leaders but not overbearing (1 Peter 5:3).
They are bold but gracious (2 Corinthians 3:12).
They exude confidence without being arrogant (Proverbs 3:25-26).
They can keep a calm head in the midst of chaos (Isaiah 7:4).
They are tough-skinned enough to endure the criticisms, but tenderhearted enough to love the people regardless (2 Timothy 2:3).
They not only lead the people but genuinely love them through the process (Romans 12:10).
They have a proven track record in their respective areas of leadership that include recruiting others to assist in the ministry
(2 Timothy 4:7).
The leaders that are gathering are determined to bear fruit in their own lives and in the Kingdom.
