Creating Community Part 2

The reason we need each other is that obedience is tough and we need the support of one another if we are going to “win the prize for which God has called [us] heavenward in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:14 (NIV). The crabs in the anime understand the dangers in trying to go it alone:

Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

That first group of disciples shared a common meal, they ate together. A meal is a great place to connect. Sharing a meal gives us time to slow down, tell stories, laugh together and work together cleaning up the mess. Community is about connection. Everybody wants a place, everyone needs to have a sense of acceptance and belonging. Unfortunately breaking into a new group can be difficult. Check out this clip:
